Kara's 5th Annual Walk of Remembrance

Walk in memory of a loved one who has died. Walk to honor someone who is grieving the loss of a loved one or who provides support to someone whose heart is broken. Walk to help sustain Kara's programs and services for those who grieve.
The walk will take place on Saturday, August 28th. It begins and ends at Mitchell Park in Palo Alto. Registration opens at 10:00 am and the walk begins at 11:00 am.
Walk. Ride your bike. Rollerblade or skateboard. You set your own pace and walk in solidarity with others or in silent solitude among the crowd. (Dogs are discouraged as there are children of all ages present.)

Registration is $20 per person; with no charge for children under 12-years old. But be sure to register early as after Wednesday, August 25th, the price goes up from $20 to $30.
We encourage you to raise pledges in any amount for Kara - as a team, as a family, as an individual. It's easy and makes a huge impact. If 100 walkers each gather $100 in supporter donations Kara will raise $10,000 in a single day. (And that's just 10 friends contributing $10 a piece to help you honor someone special.)
Raise $100 and register by August 25 and your registration fee will be waived.
It’s a lovely, easy walk through a residential neighborhood on a sunny summer day. Coffee and coffeecake are served at 10:00 am with light lunch snacks after. You'll be finished soon after noon and know in your soul you've done an incredibly good thing.
